

THE BASIC CIRCLE FOR POMMEL HORSE: Learning the Circle with Technique Reinforcement Exercises
In this gymnastic instructional video on DVD, Dave Juszczyk explains the basic circle for pommel horse. Once the circle is mastered, the difficult skills become much simpler.
Topics covered are: the basic concept of a circle on pommel horse, learning the circle and technique reinforcement exercises. All of the positions and drills demonstrated and explained on a floor mushroom. Because the circle is the most important basic element for competitive pommel horse, it is imperative to master this skill. Although this is intended for coaches, young athletes can gain tremendous insight into this basic skill and improve their performance.
Dave Juszczyk has coached numerous national champions at all levels - including several Olympians. He was the National Technical Vice President of the National Gymnastics Judges Association, the head coach of the San Jose State University Men's Gymnastics program, and the assistant coach for the Stanford University Men's Gymnastics program. He is currently the Vice President of Product Development for Neoforma, an Internet healthcare marketplace based in San Jose.
Some of his famous athletes include Jair Lynch, the 1996 Olympic silver medalist on Parallel Bars and Amy Chow, the 1996 Olympic silver medalist on bars and Team Gold medalist. Juszczyk is a regular clinician for USAG in the Men's National Team clinician visitation program. He currently lives in Broomfield, CO.
