Turkey
The Turkey by Brett Sims adds a bold, unconventional challenge to any ninja course by combining precise kicking, timing, and dynamic catches. Built around a 14 inch ring, this obstacle features an integrated cliffhanger that serves as a kicking target, forcing athletes to generate power and accuracy before committing to the catch. After the kick, athletes can grab the ring or latch onto the beak of the Turkey, creating exciting movement sequences and unexpected transitions.
The Turkey is designed for creative interaction with handheld obstacles as well. Athletes can use bats, talons, or rings to lock onto the ring or beak, and pegs can be placed in the eye of the Turkey for added setup variety. Its unique HDPE center bearing opens to fit either 1.25 inch ID (1.66 inch OD) or 1.5 inch ID (1.90 inch OD) pipe, making it easy to integrate into a wide range of rigs. The most challenging approach is kicking the cliffhanger and immediately catching the beak, testing coordination, commitment, and control in a single movement.
